Those who are separating due to medical reasons, are entitled to the same elements as a person who has completed over 18 years, however have access to all of the following:

  • CV/ Resume
  • CTMC
  • CTT and
  • Financial counselling.

Your ADF rehabilitation provider or Personal Case Manger should advise you on your future career options by providing you with a Vocational Assessment.

This will support your applications for the courses and training you chose to gain future employment.

We can assist you with ensuring your training and Resume reflect what your Vocational Assessment has indicated and what your Transition Officer will approve as the correct path for you under the Scheme.

If you have already left but have not undertaken any training or accessed a Resume, that’s OK, we can guide you through the process to still have Defence or DVA assist you if eligible.

If you have an injury that the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) has accepted a claim for they may also require information about your training if you have not fully completed it by the time you leave the ADF.
